Our Solutions
Find the Right Carbon-Free Option
A robust steam solution
For organizations looking to decarbonize industrial process steam for used in extended hour operations, HelioSteam provides a green alternative. This ready-to-deploy solution lowers fossil fuel dependence to help you achieve your climate targets. At the same time, it mitigates exposure to fuel price volatility for improved margins.
How it works
HelioSteam uses a Direct Steam Generating Receiver to produce steam up to 300 °C at 100 bar pressure. For daytime operations, the steam can be discharged directly to the industrial processes. Part of the steam can also be sent to Thermal Energy Storage and dispatched during nighttime hours. Steam delivery pressure can be adjusted to match your needs.

Decarbonizing fuel
Our solution
Our high capacity-factor concentrating solar energy solution has the potential to produce more hydrogen per kWh of electrical energy, enabling a faster return on electrolyzer costs than intermittent renewables.
Industries this solution can apply to:
Green electricity
For organizations needing dispatchable electricity, HelioPower will combine concentrating solar energy generation and thermal storage with a steam Rankine cycle or supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) power block depending on requirements. The resulting electricity will power industrial facilities, data centers, mining operations, and other energy-intensive needs.

Solar Resources Map
Maximizing Solar Irradiance
The amount of direct sunlight that is available at a particular location (solar irradiance) determines how much energy Heliogen technology can generate. We work closely with customers to evaluate solar resource availability at their location to optimize the design and size of our system for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Policies & Incentives
Leveraging Support at Local and National Levels
Public and private incentives and local, state, and national funding can support renewable energy projects. Governments worldwide have implemented policies to support expansion, including subsidies, tax incentives, and renewable energy mandates. Heliogen’s team of experts can help you navigate decarbonization policies in your location.
More countries are aligning their policies for a net-zero future and providing incentives to companies to do their part in the climate change fight.
Australia
Australia has set a target of producing 50% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030. Australia has implemented several policies to support renewable energy, including feed-in tariffs, renewable energy certificates, and a renewable energy target.
Chile
Chile aims to produce 60% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2035 and has already made significant progress towards this goal. To support renewable energy, Chile has implemented several policies including tax incentives, renewable energy auctions, and net metering for small-scale renewable energy systems.
Spain
Spain has set a target of producing 74% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030, with an ultimate goal of 100% renewable energy by 2050. To support this, Spain has implemented several policies, including feed-in tariffs, tax incentives, and renewable energy auctions.
The US federal government has implemented several policies to support the development of a renewable energy economy. New programs sparked by the Inflation Reduction Act (2022) and earlier legislation will create long-term opportunities for industrial producers looking to update their facilities. The US currently generates 20+% of its energy from renewables, which will increase through tax incentives and credits.
The funding mechanisms and policies to support renewable energy vary across different states in the US. However, many states have implemented innovative financing mechanisms to support the growth of renewable energy and achieve a more sustainable future. These may include:
- Loans
- Grants
- Cap-and-trade
- Sustainable financing
Engaging locally for renewable energy policy execution and action on projects can bring several benefits, including:
Stronger Community Support: When renewable energy projects are developed in partnership with local communities, this creates opportunities to achieve stronger outcomes. Community collaboration can speed development timelines and boost public support.
Greater Expertise and Resources: Local government entities may have expertise and resources that can be used to support renewable energy projects. For example, local project planning and development staff, or access to local contractors who can help with project implementation.
Economic Advantages: Renewable energy projects can provide economic benefits to local communities, such as job creation and increased tax revenues. By engaging locally, renewable energy developers can help ensure that these benefits are realized by the local community.
